Most likely they are pulling the "Love your neighbor" Scripture out. That's becoming increasingly popular. Obama did it to justify his condoning of same sex marriages.

You know, I believe we can find how Jesus reacted to those caught in sexual sin. The prostitute, the woman at the well. When I read those passages, I see "love the sinner, hate the sin".

My thoughts are:
The story of the woman at the well (John 4) was about Jesus talking to a Samaritan woman. Jews were forbidden to talk to Samaritans. The story wasn't about 'sexual sin'.
The story about a woman caught in adultery is found in John 8:1-11. It was not about a prostitute.
Also, that story didn't exist in any manuscripts from before the late 4th century and is thought to have been a later addition.

When you ordaine women priests who call Jesus their sister and God their mother then you are in trouble. Many of their priests are coming into the Catholic church now.

This is a dangerous area to be messing about with by any Christian church. Spiritually speaking it goes beyond the equality and diversity issues now prominent in many secular organisations and fully supported by human rights law. It has gotten so bad, that pastors who call homosexuality a sin and preach against it can be arrested for 'hate crimes' even if they are loving to the person.
