So by your views, Abraham was 'sexually immoral'. But apparently not by your God's views, as he called him righteous and blessed him with being the father of his chosen people.

Today, most people would consider Abrahams behaviour as 'immoral'. Owning slaves? Keeping women as concubines for his sexual pleasure? Yet, Abraham did not receive Yahweh's 'wrath', he received his blessing.
Jaymax, those who claim to be 100% bible believers(The God cops) believe they have been authorized to speak out against sin, and to them, homosexuals are the biggest offenders that are on their most wanted list. They have this wonderful ability to be able to look at the outside of a dish and ignore the inside of it, especially their own dish.

This thread is about blaming homosexuals for what is not right in their own world. They just do not know how to not condemn that which they disapprove of. Their doctrines and traditions (rocks to stone sinners) are just to important to them that they neglect the teachings of Jesus...........justice(something they have no idea about), mercy and righteousness

It was permissible by law to have concubines, but Abraham did not do it for sexual pleasure as you claim, he did it because his wife wanted to help him have a son.

'Gay sex' has nothing to do with Pauls' letter to the Romans- unless you think that heterosexual men engaging in vaginal and anal sex with the women and then anal with each other is somehow 'gay sex'. If you knew anything at all about 1st century Corinth and it's culture, and actually read Paul's letter instead of taking a few verses out of context, then you might know that. Are you completely unaware of temple prostitution and the use of ritual sex acts to worship ancient pagan fertility gods?

If you want to use Paul's letter to condemn 21st century people, then go find some heterosexual men and women who are into using ritual vaginal and anal sex acts in pagan temples dedicated to worshipping ancient fertility gods and goddesses. Leave gay and lesbian people out of it.

I have no desire to discuss 'sex acts' whether by gay or straight people, but fundamentalists just keep on bringing it up....over and over and over again. What's up with that?

If you have no desire to discuss the topic, then why are you here? Of course Paul was talking about sex acts, although (as I pointed out several times) towards the end of the chapter he lists a long list of other sins, including the willingness of people to not only perform such acts, but also approve of them. I think this wide spread approval of sinfulness is a bigger problem to us as a nation. People desire to appear as 'nice guys' and 'tolerant', and they will approve/condone, and even promote sinful behaviour in others.

Well I'm certainly not feeling the love and empathy for others that is so integral to the teachings of Christ from many of these people.

Excuse me? Abraham had concubines and had children by them. What do you think men kept concubines for? Playing patty cake? Of course they were for the sexual pleasure of men.

You are also confusing his concubines with the story of Sarah's slave-woman Hagar and her son. Abraham also had another wife- Keturah. Don't you read your Bible? (Genesis 25)

Even you admitting that it was permissible by law to have concubines means that your claim that any sex outside a one man/one woman marriage was 'immoral' is clearly false.

How do you think the pharisees and the demons felt when Jesus ripped them? You demand people "love" you by approving / condoning / promoting your sins, and then you judge them as "unloving" when they don't. Universalists makes a career out of this approach, but they do not realize is that they are asking people have to choose between appeasing them, and sinfulness and following Christ, and Christ wins every time. They lose, Christ wins, and they can hiss and spit about it all they want, but it is not about them, it is about the truth. Christians should never trade truth for a lie in order to appease people.

If you want appeasement, you need to look for it in the POC forums by following the more liberal posters there.
