What do you think is more poisonous to a child's psychology? Teaching children that there's a God who hates their sin and that the only thing that can "save" them from God's wrath is a human sacrifice? Or teaching children a "sweetness and love" religion like Zthatsman's?
I'm no fan of teaching ANY religion to children, since they don't have the ability to think critically and will generally believe whatever an adult tells them to believe. But I'm pretty sure I know what kind of religion is most damaging to children (and adults). Hint: it's not Zthatsman's kind of religion that causes the most damage.

Sorry but Christ was firmly against sin, this includes sexually immorality.
Jeff, even if this is true it is besides the point. The minister is not there to teach scripture but to to someone the inmates can talk to and the entire reason for the ministers presence is as a calming reassuring assistance. Preaching that homosexuality is a sin may make the minister feel good, you and he might think you are saving his soul but all that actually happens in this situation is putting a person already in trouble into a darker place on his mind. These sermons do not make the situation better. I would be very surprised if you would not object to Iman coming in to convert the inmates to Islam. There are times and places where pushing your religious beliefs are out of place, in this institution, in a math or science class, at a normal workplace, in a government office, at a too booth or other similar situations.
If you think religion belongs everywhere go start posting sermons in the gardening forim. ☺
