We Christians can find verses in both NT and OT which lead us to conclude the homosexuality is a serious sin.
This "homosexuality is a serious sin" nonsense is none other than religious propaganda. It cannot be substantiated by any open* reading of the Bible. There are three or four scriptures that reference same gender sex within the context of idolatry practices and that's it. Any other slant placed on these texts has been intentionally constructed to discriminate against gay people. This cannot be emphasized enough!

We believe that if God exists, the Bible contains His message about His Law. Homosexuality is thus a serious crime in accordance to God's Law as indicated in those Bible verses.

There are others, I'm sure, who visit the forum but may not actively participate in these threads. Some of these folks may be gay. So, it's for these folks that I call you out, Hawkins, for outright lying. Where are you getting your information that "God" (the Bible to many of you) calls homosexuality 'a serious crime'?

Thanks for admitting that same gender sex is then forbidden based on scriptures and ultimately by God since it is within the context of idolatry practices.
Now we'll see who does the scrambling to make the Bible approve of idolatry.

Just because a verse before it talks about something completely different does not mean it is only within the context. Unless you can present a verse where GOd says "man shall not lay with mankind, ahem but only if you are a prostitute, folks!" then you got no argument. The verse says what the verse says. It's UNNATURAL.
This AIDS thing makes no sense as an argument for calling homosexuality a sin. It would be somewhat like saying that because the majority of rapes are perpetrated by straight men, heterosexuality is harmful and a sin.
It makes perfect sense if your argument is that there is absolutely completetely 100%ly, no harm EVER caused by gay people. Umm wrong. Gay people have spread HIV like wildfire through their immoral lifestyle. That's harm.

What is all this arguing about whether or not the bible or God approves or disapproves of homosexuality? All one has to do is take a look at the Ten Commandments and there we will find that God forbids gay sex.

2 - Thou shall bring no false idols before me.
3 - Do not take the name of the Lord in vain.
4 - Remember the Sabbath and keep it holy.
5 - Honor thy father and thy mother.

8 - Thou shall not steal††.
9 - Thou shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
10 - Thou shall not covet‡ your neighbor's wife (or anything that belongs to your neighbor).
Oops! Nothing about homosexuality! Sorry.
But notice something sinister - the first four commandments are about himself! It's all me me me!
No one is saying that we want to enforce God's will or create a theocracy. You realize that, right?
Then why all the bother about what gays do or believe? If you're not gay you have nothing to worry about, and everyone in this country has already heard all of the "biblical" arguments. You're just wasting your breath, and making your religion look bad by constantly harping on gays.
