Yes. That's exactly what Christianity does! It constantly tell you that you will never be anything more than a miserable, unworthy sinner.... whilst at the same time, it constantly demands that you be more "Christ like" ....which you can never do.....because you're a miserable, unworthy sinner.

This is the way in which Christianity drives you into an ever decreasing circle of self-hate and self-rejection.... until you arrive, as you have now, at the point when you feel that you couldn't survive without having a supernatural entity to help you through the miserable, sinful life that they have convinced you that you lead. That's the clever thing about religion.....it feeds off the insecurity of the masses.

...and here's one that doesn't.

Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.
That it goes on to tell the husband to love the wife doesn't alter the fact that i is saying that the woman is to put up and shut up to the authority of the man.

One thing that always bothered me was this crap that I'm worthless and that non-believers were wicked. In addition to this I used worry that I earned too much and that I was too rich(by world standards). All the while, you see these wealthy evangelist. I'm relieved to know this religion is BS.

Just jump on her spiritual bandwagon, and you too can look down on others.

More of that special "agape love" you all peddle?

I guess you read without comprehension, because I've said repeatedly that ANYONE that is called, can come to the banquet set before us. And you're disdainful of me because I answered the call to dine with Him and you haven't? Whose fault is that? Certainly not mine. Peace

I dispute the bible could turn you atheist, unless you have bought into the bible fundamentalists belief to what it is. Now, their interpretation of it can certainly make you one.

I've posted bible versus that should convert anyone. You don't have to believe as a fundamentalist to know the bible is Jewish nonsense.

You asserted that you did not see how the bible, itself, could convert someone to atheist unless they believed fundamentalist interpretations.

I'm saying I posted scriptures(posts #67,68,69,70) that should convert anyone, fundamentalists aside.
