Christianity teaches that we are all fundamentally defective. We lie, we covet, we judge, we dishonor our parents, and the list goes on and on.
Yes. That's exactly what Christianity does! It constantly tell you that you will never be anything more than a miserable, unworthy sinner.... whilst at the same time, it constantly demands that you be more "Christ like" ....which you can never do.....because you're a miserable, unworthy sinner.
This is the way in which Christianity drives you into an ever decreasing circle of self-hate and self-rejection.... until you arrive, as you have now, at the point when you feel that you couldn't survive without having a supernatural entity to help you through the miserable, sinful life that they have convinced you that you lead. That's the clever thing about religion.....it feeds off the insecurity of the masses.

That it goes on to tell the husband to love the wife doesn't alter the fact that i is saying that the woman is to put up and shut up to the authority of the man.

One thing that always bothered me was this crap that I'm worthless and that non-believers were wicked. In addition to this I used worry that I earned too much and that I was too rich(by world standards). All the while, you see these wealthy evangelist. I'm relieved to know this religion is BS.
Well, if that's the case why doesn't Jesus just tell us that instead of making us wrack our brains to figure it out? I guarantee 99% of Christians would NEVER have arrived at your interpretation---provided we could prove 99% of Christians have even read the passage.

Jesus makes you wrack your brain to figure out Rbbi's interpretation because, otherwise, how could she feel superior to you? God has chosen her to understand things that you dont, because she sacrificed her life to understand it and you didn't, and her reward is knowing that she is better than you.
