God does speak but He doesn’t contradict Himself as He is immutable. If the voice is contrary to what the Scriptures say then that is not God speaking to you.

1 John 4:1 do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God. For many false prophets have gone out into the world

What constitutes a false god if not a substitute for what was promised?
If you don't believe that the Bible is true, then how do you even know there is/was a guy named Jesus?

I believe there WAS a consistent and revolutionary message about the love of God and how to live in relation with God and man. I believe in the nature of the Spirit described by Jesus in that book and....wait for it.... CONFIRMED by that Spirit as the authority promised. I believe that frail men who fail to see and follow that Spirit used (and still use) the revolutionary power that drove the faith of those who do know that Spirit to construct a religion they can use to try to exercise control through their moral prejudices and that thread or influence can be seen and discounted simply by understanding their agenda as opposed to that concern for the well-being of everyone in any situation that is the expression of our faith.

And THIS is how you replace the promised Spirit with a book by claiming that every expression IN that book is direct from God without reference to the nature of the Spirit you claim inspired it. This, in turn subjects that Spirit TO the book and give the book the authority.

Someone who believes that should be able to see that since the various authors of the writings in the bible have declared many things which contradict each other, the bible (taken as a whole) must be excluded as being representative of God.

yES GOD is immutable..BUT the MEN who wrote the book are fallible, egotistical, and prone to visions of grandeur.

They come from the same authority-God.

They were moved by the Spirit of God.

2 Peter 1

20 No prophecy of Scripture comes from someone's own interpretation. 21 For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.

Repeat a lie enough times and you're apt to believe it's true.

"All Scripture is God breathed" .... "Sanctify them through the truth, your Word is truth"~Jesus

So who's premise is the lie Pleroo?
