Would someone be incorrectly worshiping Jesus if they clamed THIS guy was Jesus?

Just curious what people think. Is someone a "Christian" if they say they worship this guy as Jesus Christ?

There is the Jesus of the Bible -- and then a host of false Christ's who are already in the world and will increase in the End Time.

Along these lines, I'm wondering if the false Christ's referenced by Jesus - are actually people claiming to be Jesus Christ (ie; Jones, Koresh, Sun Moon, etc); -- OR are they false depictions of a Christ who is far different than the Christ of Scripture(?). These might include, for example:

1. A "Christ" to whom sin is 'not an issue,' but, who loves mankind too much to ever allow the 'death wages of sin' or any type of eternal separation from God.

2. A "Christ" who automatically claims all people as His "children," and for whom a lifetime of rebellion against God, Christ and the Holy Spirit ... holds no consequences ("wages")

3. A "Christ" who is 'only LOVE' and forgiveness ... and for whom 'sin' does not exist.

4. A "Christ" who gave His own life on the cross --- so mankind would understand the depth and width of God's love; but a cross which holds no other significance.

5. A "narrow-minded Christ" of Scripture/the Bible, who only seeks love, but has no regard or concern for what might be written in "an ancient book written by ignorant people."

IMO, these are the "false Christ's" spoken of by Jesus, who will appear in the Last Days.

2Co 11:3, But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
2Co 11:4, For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.

You fundies really need to stop misrepresenting the views of others who disagree with you. NO ONE is talking about NO CONSEQUENCES!!! We will reap EXACTLY what we sow, but no more and no less. But your preposterous ETERNAL CONSEQUENCE is unbelievably EVIL!!!

Instead of recognizing that Jesus IS God and His agape love and forgiveness unambiguously demonstrated on the Cross IS God's True Nature, you interpret it as a punishment or payment to appease the wrath of God!! It was appeasement of wrath, alright, but of the wrath of our brutal and savage ancestors. Talk about missing the point!!!

If the scriptures contained ONLY the truth about God, there would have been no need for Jesus and a New Covenant. Our ancestors' misunderstanding and misinterpretations of the scriptures and God were the problems. Jesus was sent to correct their misunderstanding of God and to achieve what our ancestors were not even TRYING to achieve in their ignorance of God.

Retaining their ignorant belief about God as wrathful and vengeful has been the reason for the lack of spiritual development and understanding of God ever since, IMO.

That guy looks nothing like Jesus. Jesus has blue eyes and blond hair!

How is that guy a poster child against one type of Christianity or another? If this guy wrote a book would you follow him?

He said he's Jesus. I'm asking if one could be called a Christian by worshiping him. What's your answer?

If one decides this is "the mind of Christ" by worshiping this guy, is it? That's what you keep telling us. That we can decide whatever Jesus is whatever we want, however he reveals himself.

Default If Christ is whoever we want him to be....

He is not. Christ is exactly who HE presented Himself to be unambiguously on the Cross. There is no other Christ.
