Nonsense. He simply points out that Jesus was raised. Our ancestors needed to believe it was bodily because they were terrified of Spirits.
Honest question. Have you actually read 1 Corinthians? Chapter 15 specifically. Or is that part of the Bible that you don't like so you simply ignore it?
Gnosticism and Docetism are both understandable, given our desire to make sense out of what appears to be counterintuitive.
How can corrupt flesh, be made uncorrupt?
I don't know ( scientifically, or logically) but scripture, from start to finish is full of both metaphorical, and historical examples of exactly that which is impossible to understand, based upon existing human knowledge thus far.
Those two heresies, are a great temptation for the intellect.
Nevertheless, it would take alot of editing of scripture to defend those heresies.
I choose to believe in Christ's victory over death and decay.
Don't know exactly what that means, how it happens, and what a " new creation" will look like. But it is essential to my beliefs.

Docetism has been roundly and unanimously condemned by all of Christianity ever since Nicea.
It's quite incredible to claim that you've got it right over and against the unanimous testimony of Christian Tradition. In order to back up such an extraordinary claim, you're gonna need more than just relaying your private and unique mystical experience.
Do you realize how extraordinary your claim is? If true, it would upend 2,000 years of Christianity.
Are you surprised that people don't readily buy into it?
I lean towards the lake of fire being a literial physical fire based upon Lk 16:22-24
22 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;
23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.
But if Im wrong, and its not literal physical, its still meaning some kind of everlasting torment/punishment of the wicked.

Also, why would the rich man beg for water to be placed on the tip of his tongue, if it is not literal fire?

I have read it and studied it in great detail and have cited it many times. A carnal-minded reader will misinterpret what is essentially a spiritual explanation of what happened to Jesus and what will happen to us upon our death!!! This nonsense of being "born again" while still in a living physical body ignores or denies 1st Corinthians 15:36!!!

1Co 15:36, Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die:
There is something in the preaching of church history called "dying to self";
As is revealed in this scripture,
1Co 15:31, I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.
which is even in the immediate context of your scripture.

Thats a fair point.
