My radar just went off knowing from reading some of your atheistic posts that you were probably trying to stir up some debate with me about my faith, which is fine. But again, why come into a forum that's primarily written to encourage fellow believers?

As far as thinking you are a heathen, I never said that nor do I hope you think that I see you as one. I see you simply as a human being who obviously was inspired by reading my thread to post on it, and I thank you for at least doing that. How's that?

I hope you don't mind me telling you my testimony as to how I became a christian. It wasn't by some holy roller loud mouth preacher saying that if I don't accept Jesus as my personal saviour, I am going to hell and burn up. It was by simply reading the Word of God, and realizing that I needed a saviour, and that Jesus was the answer FOR ME so that I could live a more enriching life. I tell you this, since I have been a christian, I have had a very enriching life, not perfect, not all peaches and cream, but blessed in the sense that I still am in my right mind, my health has improved, and I still have a job even though my job stopped at my name when they decided to lay off 300 teachers in my school district. That wasn't luck.

I am pleased with myself because by losing the weight, I CAN GLORIFY GOD AND GIVE HIM THE CREDIT for helping me lose it. You should be able to relate to this. You go to a gym and hire a fitness trainer because you are 50 pounds overweight. Your trainer puts you on a strict diet and exercise routine. After about 5 months, you have lost 50 pounds. Do you not pat yourself on the back and give your trainer credit as well? I hope you see where I am going with this, the same applies to my faith as well, and God being behind helping me reach my weight loss goal--nothing more and especially nothing less.

God may not be for you nor his Son Jesus. I won't preach that to you because I am sure you have heard it all and by people who simply want you to convert. That's not my intent, nor your intent shouldn't be to turn people into athiests.

But I hope that you can at least understand why us religious folk behave the way we do. With out God there is no hope. With out Jesus there is no ressurrection. I rather have my hope built on Jesus' blood and righteousness rather than gamble with something, IN MY OPINION, is meaningless.
So, it was god's will that 300 teachers god laid off, except you? Do you not think that any of those 300 teachers believed in god as well? Is that something to praise god for?

Where do you get that it was God's will to lay off 300 teachers? Maybe it was or maybe it wasn't? But, we are supposed to praise God for the Good and the Bad that occur in our lives--THAT'S WHAT FAITH IS ALL ABOUT. When I say this, many people who don't understand God's SOVEREIGNTY, seem to think that us christians only think that God takes credit for only the good that happens in the world--AND A TRUE BELIEVE UNDERSTANDS THIS TRUTH, AND IS WAITING ON HIS OR HER REWARD AFTER THEY DIE.

I will just say this since you made me go there. GOD DOESNT OWE YOU, ME OR ANYONE ANY LIFE OF HAPPINESS- -TERRIBLE THINGS CAN and DO HAPPEN IN OUR LIVES. Let's be mindful of that simple truth. IF YOU DON'T AGREE with it, then don't take this personal---just get over it....

BY THE WAY, I was given a pink slip this month, which means I may not have a job. Thus, do I stop trusting God, and having Faith in Him to supply all of my needs? Am I supposed to be mad at God? HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL NO!

There's an interesting misunderstanding of how things happen in life right here on this thread. I don't suppose the Christians here understand the concept of unambiguous interpretation, right?

The events attributed to God here are not unique, nor are they due to God's response. Mythunderstood has it exactly right. Why acknowledge God when there are so many bad things going on to absolutely devout Christians every day? Just this last week, in our church, one of the most sincere, nicest ladies was told she has inoperable cancer. Meantime, one of the middle-aged husbands has been found to be cheating on his wife, but he just took off out of town with their bank account. Apparently God has let these two "little" things slip by.

I think we all need to realize that God is not there all the time, for each and every little thing. For me, He's not been there at all, frankly. Ever. Let's not give unnecessary acknowledgment where none is due, OK?

The bible makes it clear that unforseen circumstances can and will ocurr in a christian's life. I just don't get it when an athiest wants to argue a believer down-JUST LEAVE IT ALONE, ESPECIALLY WHEN I AM POSTING ON A CHRISTIAN FORUM--GEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEZE .

Update about my health. Diabetes is still reversed; I feel good, and my weight is hovering around 172-175 pounds. My 32s are loose on me.

Default Update June 2010

It's time to show another pix. I have been working out 5-6 times a week, and now I have the definition to prove that hard work does pay off.
