I am still waiting for this scriptural support that shows God took a longer period of time for creation? I would love to see this scripture.

Genesis 1:3-5
"3 Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. 4 And God saw the light, that it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. So the evening and the morning were the first day."

Genesis 1:16-19
"Then God made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night. He made the stars also. 17 God set them in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth, 18 and to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good. 19 So the evening and the morning were the fourth day."

Which was it, evening and the morning on the 1st day, or on the 4th day?

Wait, It doesn't matter if God got the LITERAL creation out of order?!?!

I think this goes back to your earlier point of confusion. What constitutes a day? It's a 24 hour period during which the Earth rotates around the sun. If God didn't create the sun until the 4th day....how were days 1-3 measured??? How is there morning or evening when there is no day, no sun....no consistent way to measure time as we know it?

oh brother.....it is pretty straightforward. When God said let there be light there was no sun, just light in 1:3

but in 16-19 God collected the light and created luminaries; greatest light for the day which was the sun and the lesser light which was the moon and stars. Really what is so difficult? This verse has nothing to do with time of day but the lights for day and night.

The moon IS NOT a light.

How were days measured before the sun shone on the rotating earth? How was there 'night' when the light was scattered about, not yet gathered up to make the sun?

^you think those 3-4 sentences you just strung together are enough to explain why there are 2 distinct verses pointing to TWO DISTINCT days, saying the exact same thing? LOL!!
"So the evening and the morning were the first day."

^same thing on 2 different occasions, on 2 distinct verses. lol@ "its straightforward"
