The Charger is excellent even in the 6 cylinder guise. I almost bought the Charger Scat Pack a few years ago and then I've been working in Kuwait the last 19 months which allowed me to afford this HC splurge.
If I lived somewhere with no snow and knew I wouldn't be driving down fire roads, I'd buy a Scat Pack in a heartbeat. Love the looks and would kill for that 6.4L under the hood.

As it is I've got a Grand Cherokee with the 5.7L. Sucks on gas but it'll move in a hurry. Gotta watch it on the highway too, same problem as others. 1700 or so RPMs around 80. I've looked down and I'm doing 90 plus.

Loved my 2012 AWD with the Hemi. I'm sure they've improved quite a bit since then as well. I only had it for a few months before it was totaled on New Year's Eve by a drunk driver. I got hit at about 40 MPH by an F150 and had no injuries, so I feel that they are very safe vehicles.

Took a road trip from MA down to Asheville, that thing loved the Blue Ridge Parkway, Boone and definitely the highway. Ended up with a Jeep and then an Ecodiesel 1500. Better choices for the weather here but with I still had the R/T.

Update...

I got rear ended in December...not bad but enough of a mark to get it fixed.

While in the shop, I rented a 2017 Charger SXT.

I am seriously doubting that there's only 80hp difference between the two!

It felt like night and day...BTW they both got almost the same gas mileage with my driving.

IMO, the SXT is a bit underpowered.

For those of us that have moved beyond the need to keep our foot buried the Pentastar does just fine.
0-60 in 6.5 seconds is more than adequate for a V6 car that weighs close to 2 tons. Not everyone wants the Hemi, that's why it's there. If you want to see underpowered drive one of the 06-10 models with the 2.7L

Anyway, I'm glad to have my blue beauty back...

I rented a Charger with the Pentastar with the ZF 8 speed and was surprised at how well it performed. Of course, Hemi is better.

Says the Scat owners about the regular R/Ts.

Says the Hellcat owners about the Scats.

Says the Demon owners about the Hellcats.

I've thought the same thing often...

I would go for the hellcat if I wasn't worried about my CDL...That's just too much temptation!

Hmm, I would too if it wasn't for the 6 months of snow. I am doubtful a snow tire has been made that will tame a Hellcats horsepower in icy conditions!

Are you happy with the body shop work done? I have had such mixed results in getting body repairs done at various places before, and I tend to be ultra picky with the appearance of my cars....
