Thank you for the welcome, Hyden. It's great to chat again after many years. And thanks, also, to A.F.D., who wrote:

Did you live close to the cemetary ?
Yes, I remember the cemetary, although I didn't play there. It was an African-American cemetery, I think. Once, tough, a bunch of us went there to bury a pet bird and the elderly caretaker kindly pointed us to a spot appropriate for an impromptu internment.

Toots, Wasn't there a Henderson family that lived in your building , I think apt #A. I know I used to walk with a girl named Debbie Henderson and she wore braces on her legs because of polio. I've thought of her through the years. She might have lived in the other building that faced Eastwood.

Jerry, I asked Ronnie about the bakery man in the brown truck and he doesn't remember him. This is another one of those times I wish my parents were still around to ask. Was this in the earlier years or after Straford Manor became Eastwood Village? I know one thing the first time I had Little Debbie cakes was at your house during one of the many times I stayed all night with Sandy. I remember also that big jar of red pickled eggs your Mom fixed I guess for your Dad 's bar. I never tried them. But when I was expecting my second child I couldn't get enough of them or ice My husband would bring me one home in his lunch bucket every night when he came home from the coal mines.
