I don't really hear blacks call Dallas boring; I've only heard that stuff on here. While Blacks outside Dallas do believe Black Dallasites are country; I've never heard anyone refer to the area as boring. During the State Fair; many black houstonians travel up the Dallas.

There are blacks who find Dallas boring just as well as they find Atlanta and Miami boring too... Everyplaces gets boring after you have been there a while.. Everything just becomes repeatitive.... Then you find yourself doing less because your tired of going to the same places over and over again...

Miami-Dade has 2.5 Million people, so it can't be that unliveable as so many of these delusional posters seem to believe. While I think Dallas is more liveable to more average people, but it's not like people visit Miami and go home to Orlando at the end of the day, so that's a stupid argument, but given some of the people that contribute to this site, I'm not surprised they'd think that way.

I don't understand how some posters are acting as if something is wrong with someone if they'd rather live by the ocean or beach than a landlocked prairie. Everyone has a personal preference, but it seems many on C-D think other posters are required to think like them.

There's really no hip hop or R&B clubs in Dallas that are on the level of Miami's. Most are country-ass juke joints in comparison.

And a Gay black man would be way better off in Atlanta or Miami in terms of nightlife, social life, or dating than they would in Dallas.

I know what you mean, it seems like we only hear a lot of different things on here. I swear I've never heard Miami bashed so much until I came to this site.

Man, this Rays Marlins game has been crazy tonight, it's in the bottom of the 11th and the Rays are winning 9-8, it looks like the Marlins are about to score again. I forgot tonight was "free vuvuzela" night, lol Sun Life Stadium is sounding like the World Cup right now, gotta love a good old instate rivalry.

Dolphins Buccaneers
Heat Magic
Marlins Rays
Panthers Lightning

And those are just the South Florida vs. Central Florida rivalries, you also have Predators Storm which is Orlando vs. Tampa Bay, I love it.

For one; half of the people in Dallas probably don't give a damn about living near the beach; seriously, when you grow up in a landlocked areas like I did; the beach is one of the last things that really interest you. Dallasites aren't walking around complaining about the nightlife because it's pretty decent. Sure Miami beats them, but it's not like nightlife in Dallas is non-existent.

Another thing is that people fail to realize how much growing up Miami needs to do. It's been repeated many times that Miami is a place for visiting, but ask how many people would actually want to live there??? Completely different story. That city is so divided it's crazy; one side is beautiful, upscale, and attractive while the other is poor, rotten, and crime - ridden.

For me; I'd rather live in a nice home, great neighborhood, and have a good job. I can still get the great clubs, bars and lounges in Dallas and still live in an affordable neighborhood.
This is the point I was trying to make. There are areas in South Florida that look like youre in a 3rd world country. Its crazy the pronounced difference in wealthy to extremely poor is there. Dallas overall seems like a prosperous metro area with its poorer, upper and middle class even throughout. Theres a large sense of pride in the Dallas area you don't find in transient cities like Miami.

It is true that Miami has a lot of VERY poor areas and then VERY rich areas, but if you look at the South Florida Metro Area as a whole there are plenty of middle class neighborhoods. I like how jluke mentioned how Miami has some growing up to do, which is true, it is one of the youngest cities in the country. "One side is beautiful, upscale, and attractive, while the other is poor, rotten, and crime-ridden" yeah, but most cities are like that.
