Seattle hosted two World's Fairs, once in 1909 and again in 1962, which brought the Space Needle.

The 1962 Century 21 Expo put Seattle on the map, but really World's Fairs aren't nearly as important or recognized today as they were 48 years ago. I bet hardly anyone knows this year's World's Fair is in Shanghai, am I right?

San Diego. Great weather, transportation, right on the bay for the triatholon. Great city environment. Well cultured. The city already has a summer Olympic training thing going on. It's like the only full round training gig in the country I think? There might be one other.

I couldn't agree more! San Diego should! San Francisco gets rediculously praised on this board and LA hosts everything. Let's give San Diego a chance!

Have you ever been around the world or are you talking out of your ass?

I spend half my time abroad. When I mention I am from Dallas, very rarely do people ask where that it. Most people have know where it is and have heard of it even if they dont know much about it.

But back on topic. Chicago would be the perfect city for the summer Olympics.
