I think you're misunderstanding my analogy. Name a city in the Northeast (we'll limit it to this geographic location for this purpose) that can compete with NYC economically. That's what I'm getting at about Houston. It is not a literal comparison.
Well, in the south you have Dallas and Atlanta so I still don't see the comparison.
Houston will one day rival Chicago economically and still he'll be saying that same statement. At this point; I don't see Houston as inferior to Chicago, DC or Boston.
If you say so. You can't really reason with boosters. No offense.
I'll likely be dead by the time Houston surpasses Chicago on the world stage. It's not like I really care anyway. If I really wanted to I could move to Houston in a heartbeat.

What makes Houston inferior???
Let me guess...it lacks public transit (it's improving), it sprawls (what city doesn't) and it's located in the south (And what the hell makes the Midwest any better??) Heard it all before.

Pretty defensive, aren't we? I'm not going to argue that Chicago is 'better' than Houston. It's a much different sort of animal. Let's just leave it at that.

well Dallas goes the extra mile to toot its own horn. I found that article to be overly boastful
Don't get defensive. Houston has articles like that too.
