I think this is one of those situations where for the most part, the people who voted NY are the NY'ers who will vote for NY no matter what, based on NYC.

Best Mexican food? NY.
Best Tex-Mex? NY.
Best Chicago deep dish? NY.
Best Florida Key? NY.
Best stretch of Pacific Coast Highway? NY.
Etc...

I love NY and NYC, and am a Bostonian myself, so I definitely have a lot of Northeastern Seaboard pride... we have the best Italian food, there are a lot of attractive women in the region, there is 1,000,000x the Caribbean community, the culture of academia is way more entrenched through more segments of society... but... California wins this one, hands-down!

Hawaii beats them all out.
i think that's the tough concept for west coasters. cali is huge. when we drove on the highway, it was a shock to see non-cali plates. on the east coast, i'm used to seeing at least 10 different states..

its' like if ny state covered nj through dc (waiting for clueless west coaster to argue that they're nowhere near each other)

I think I read someone's comment that they don't think there are a lot of Indians in California because that person couldn't find Indian food, or something similar -- I wonder about the logic displayed on C-D sometimes. And yes, all those links show that CA holds the top numbers of SE Asians.

But what does that have to do with the topic? How is that relevant in any way, shape or form with how Asian a place is.....?

Virginia (not even all considered NE, but whatever) + DC + Maryland + Delaware + Pennsylvania + New Jersey + New York + Connecticut + Rhode Island + Massachusetts + Vermont + New Hampshire + Maine (239,061 square miles)= 3,938,065 Asian Americans alone

California (163,696 square miles): 4,861,007 Asian Americans alone

Eh, if you follow this board, then Atlanta, NYC, and Philly rule the northern hemisphere.

It may not be, but we have more Asians, no matter how you try to swing it
