Maybe its New Orleans time to pass the torch. They usually average that many in recent times but St. Louis and Baltimore may be emerging capitals. The competition is thick.
I'm in Miami Beach right now and I've been surprised how many Black people (including incredibly beautiful Black Women) I have seen on my trip.
I was always under the (apparently false) impression that Miami/Miami Beach was mostly Latino and White....I think it's because LA/San Fran don't have that many Black people, so I just assumed that Miami would be similar.....since most people compare LA to Miami.....But it's not the case at all....Miami seems to have much more of a Black presence than LA/SoCal....
I need to visit Miami!
Well, LA's black population has been dwindling for quite some time now. Its really funny to have visited for the first time back In 2010 and spending time throughout South LA, Inglewood, Hawthorne and Mid City I was actually impressed with the black population of LA.
Keep in mind majority of the black's seem to reside in this little box between the 405/10/91/605 freeways. As soon as you cross over East Compton into east Los Angeles county it turns overwhelmingly Latino.. with the quickness! Haven't been back since 2013, but I noticed a huge decline in their presence along S. Crenshaw and in parts of Inglewood. I guess more are getting attracted to ATL,Vegas, the Texas cities (Dallas, Houston) and Phx.
To be fair, there is over 1.3 million Black people in the LA CSA. Just under Miami. But Miami does have a larger presence.
I almost never saw a black person on my entire trip to LA and SD it was really odd. The rich parts of LA you almost never see a black face or latino, its most Jewish, white or Middle Eastern and Asian people.

St. Louis had the number one murder rate last year, and it wasn't as bad then either.
St Louis already has more murders this year than London gets in an entire year.
