Hoover AL or Southaven MS?
Hoover, AL. Much much more scenic with the wooded hills.

Hot Springs, AR or Hot Springs, VA?

Arkansas. Hot Springs, VA I'm sure has breathtaking scenery, but it's a bit too remote. Plus VA is really going downhill in terms of livability.

Bessemer, Michigan or Millinocket, Maine?

Bessemer, Michigan or Millinocket, Maine?
Millinocket because it's bigger and closer to bigger towns. Minot ND or Grand Isle NB?

Grand Isle. It's milder and a bit less isolated

Smyrna GA or Smyrna TN?

They're both too close to bigger cities and seem like suburbs to me, so yech to both. Guess I'm going to pick Smyrna, TN, though, because Nashville is nicer than Atlanta. Actually, both areas look nice and woodsy.

Lafayette, LA or Madawaska, ME?

Lafayette. I prefer crawfish to caribou.

Kansas City's Crossroads Arts District or Cincinnati's Over-the-Rhine?

I would go with Over-the-Rhine. After a quick scan, I really like the old architecture in that area, plus I prefer Cincinnati's natural setting overall.

Las Vegas, NV or Salt Lake City, UT?

SLC, easily. I've visited several times and gone around various parts of LV metro and they have some nice area like any other metro. But the area as a whole doesn't appeal to me at all and does have a tackiness about it find unappealing for a place to live. I love SLC, its people, its surroundings, and climate. But I hate the COL.

Buffalo or Cleveland?

Buffalo or Cleveland?
Cleveland. Livelier, and not as much lake-effect snow.

Columbus, Ohio, or Columbus, Ga.?
