New York; more legal work, less insular, more to do
St. Louis, Missouri or Los Angeles, California?
Los Angeles. The only thing I like better about St.Louis is the cost of living & traffic. LA has better culture, food, metro area, things to do, scenery, weather, job market, etc.

Let's do it again...
Dallas, TX or Houston, TX?
Dallas because better mass transit. From a cultural-stew standpoint, however, Houston would be the more interesting city IMO.
Whoever it was that responded "New York" upthread seems to have responded to a post well back in the game. To that poster: Always read everything before posting anything, and it's a good idea to respond to a post on this thread as a reply to the post you've read rather than as a fresh standalone post.
That poster stomped on this pair: "Davenport, IA, or Omaha, NE?"
From what I've seen of it, Davenport is actually a very attractive place, and the residents there have decided the occasional flood is a small price to pay for having a levee-free Mississippi riverfront. But Omaha's larger and just as attractive IMO, with a few more things to do. Ergo, Omaha.
Jersey Shore, Pa., or Margate, on the Jersey shore?
Location: northern Vermont - previously NM, WA, & MA

Chesapeake, VA because I prefer the Hampton Roads area.
Atlanta, GA or Washington, DC?
DC. Hands down. There's a very good chance we'll move there within the next ten years. We're hoping to hold off until our youngest is out of the house. We've already been researching living on a boat in the harbor downtown.

Casper, WY or North Platte, NE?
Casper. Have a high school friend who lives there.

Columbus, OH or Austin, TX?
Austin would be a lot more fun, better scenery, and great swimming holes.
It's my last day in New Mexico y'all!
Las Cruces, NM or Santa Fe, NM?
