Idaho Falls for sure. Better region and closer to Salt Lake City.
Franklin, TN or Lawrence, KS
Lawrence. Franklin's not a college town to begin with, and there are few places in the country cooler than college towns in the Midwest. And ever since Free State Brewing got Kansas to liberalize its Prohibitionist liquor laws, you can really carouse on Massachusetts Street too.

Lansing... Larger metro (roughly 2.5x the size), slightly warmer winters, and while St. Cloud is an hour from MLSP, Lansing is an hour from Grand Rapids & Ann Arbor, while also still just 1.5 hours from downtown Detroit and Lake Michigan.

Utica, NY or Walla Walla, WA?
Utica, NY. Walla Walla is way too isolated and arid.
Sacramento. Probably. Never been to SB and heard such amazing things about it, but just think it would be too small. Sacramento isn't my top choice but we've visited and it will do.

SF v Cleveland
San Francisco if I could afford it. But Cleveland would be perfectly acceptable with my current funds. I don't think it would be much of a difference from our life in Milwaukee. Plus I have family and friends in Cleveland.

Wayne, PA. Train access to Philadelphia and a great public school system. Plus all the little cities out there are nice and walkable.
Baton Rouge, LA or Oklahoma City, Oklahoma?
I would choose Baton Rouge. The city is better and not as backwards.
Cincinnati, OH or Baltimore, MD?
