That at the most peak, strenuous of all physical competitions you can do in the water - olympic swimming, and it's still 8 degrees colder than that.

Now imagine anyone going for a leisurely swim, wading, or snorkeling like you claim you did in 70 degree water.
Okay, keep calling me a liar for doing something that thousands of people have done in La Jolla almost every weekend in the summer. There's honestly too many people there snorkeling, it's kind of crowded.

Why do you care so much though?

WHY do people hate the climate in Miami??
What do you mean? People here heat their pools in the winter time. But I'm not talking about Miami.

I'm talking about SoCal too, your pools at 84 degrees. Not at the "comfortable" 70 degrees you claim.

I'm talking about Portland too.

The EC too.

The midwest too.

No one wants 70 degrees. Trust me.

Yeah, in August there are when it's warm.

But the water isn't 70 degrees then. It's more like 77. And people are still a bit nippy.

But in June when the water is around 70 in La Jolla cover? Just lol, no one is there.

Who is arguing that they'd keep their pool at 70 degrees?

I thought Miami water is perfect. The West Coast has the cold current, Miami has the Gulf Stream

I guess we just all have bigger cojones then you do. Go back to your perfect 84 degree pool and leave us alone...

You think 81 degrees with humidity is comfortable.

It's not about "cojones" it's about being comfortable.

I can eat inorganic food but I prefer to be comfortable so I buy organic.

70 degree, nothing comfortable or enjoyable about it. I can go in, I just won't enjoy myself. So I don't, simple as that.

I would love when Miami returns to the 80s, these 70s are too cool for me. Though tomorrow we will upper 70s.

I go in a couple weeks to Switzerland ski, I don't want to deal with cold weather before then.

Again, the comfort for the vast majority of people is 84 degrees. That's what resorts keep their pools at. Anytime you step in a pool, that is how 84 degrees water feels like.

70 is just too damn cold, if resorts try to keep their pools at that temperature they will be sued for providing "ice water" for customers to swim in.
Except all the people in these threads and that link I posted:

As well as this chart: SWIMMING AND WATER TEMPERATURE INDEX

You can have whatever preferences you want but stop trying to tell others what they find comfortable and what they don't.
