Los Angeles hasn't been murder capital since the 2000's

It's an entirely different city from 15 - 25 years ago

The same could be said for New York City"

So how many more years until you think Chicago slows down ?

Suprisingly Chicago wasn't really that bad in the 1980's far as homicides

But 500 - 600 murders per yr is alot for this watered down decade.

What about Detroit & New Orleans ? Maybe the US military will have to come out to some of these high crime areas and arrest thousands in 1 night

Remember the movie Robocop where it depicted Detroit as this lawless city with no hope in sight ???

NYC has tough laws and the city enforce it compare to Chicago, Detroit, Philly, St Louis which doesn't enforce laws like NYC. New York is flooded with cops they have tough and effective policing compare to Chicago. Gentrification is widespread in the city it force some cats to move out of state, some are doing serious time or pass away. The cops in NYC do alot of gang sweeps in one day they pick up 100 to 200 people in 24 hours. Chicago PD just react to crime while NY PD just be effective flood area with cops.

Chicago can lower murder rate if the city do tough effective policing citywide like blight to quality life issues to violent crime. The city will have to focus on most violent areas/hotspots, use intelligent, times trend, days of week, tell small percentage of bad apples who driving up the crime if they don't stop they face serious time they can get help with employment, jobs, housing etc if they want turn their life around etc. Neighborhood Policing, Walk the beat patrols, Intelligent detailing in hotspots zones in city, Targeting small percentage that driving crime.

Pass two months murders and shootings been slowing down in Chicago compare to same time last year by 40-45%
