Cities like Baltimore, Detroit, New Orleans and St. Louis have major issues since their rates are 2-3x the rest. I don't wanna ****ing hear about Chicago anymore. Philadelphia's rate is way down. Nobody ever talks about Washington, DC though, despite being worse.
DC's homicides at 54 so far (as of June 27, 2017) are down 11% as compared to June 27, 2016. Additionally, total violent crime is down 26% in DC compared to this time last year.
Baltimore currently at 170 after two fatal and five other non fatal shootings so far today. Month still going better than last month though. Baltimore Homicides - baltimoresun.com
