That's not entirely true. Toronto's core has become primarily residential mid and high-rises, which is very different from Chicago and more similar to Manhattan. Granted Toronto's core is still 1/4 of the size of Manhattan and will need to continuously stretch from South Core to North York to come close, which won't happen for another 10-15 years.
I agree with this. Toronto feels more like NYC to me.
Chicago kinda looks like Manhattan sometimes, but it's significantly smaller. It's not really the same. Miami is gonna overtake Chicago with the most skyscrapers pretty soon. Chicago does look more like New York than most cities, especially with its elevated trains and just the architecture of the buildings.
That being said, Chicago is an interesting city and they have some cool museums and a nice lakefront park area, so you should enjoy it.

lol Miami take over Chicago for most skyscrapers
As 2015

Number of skyscrapers in the city: 116
With over 100 skyscrapers, Chicago has no shortage of tall buildings, with the tallest being the Willis Tower, formerly known as the Sears Tower, once the tallest building in the world.

Most of the high-rise buildings in Miami are residential though the first skyscraper in the city was the Southeast Financial Center built in 1983. Currently, the Four Seasons Hotel and Tower is the tallest building in the city, standing at 240 meters.
2015
NYC is has #5 spot in world for most high rise buildings 6,250 buildings compare to Chicago #29 spot 1,180.

I'd venture that Boston's downtown/Cambridge can be a close second in the U.S. in terms of urban integration and vibrancy.
Sorry - but strongly disagree. Chicago's is much more vibrant (I think there are other cities too - with their centers much more vibrant than Boston's) and I'm not sure what you mean by urban integration, exactly, but if it means what it sounds like, Chicago I think is also a solid 2.
