Atlanta is having a pretty mediocre year as far as murders....about 8 murders a month on average. Need it to slow down a lot. Hopefully it does....just takes 1 or 2 good months to get the numbers back down to below average.

Miami also has twice the population of Orlando too. I have lived in both cities and I have some theories on this.
Orlando is growing rapidly and the crime rate has been increasing for several years whereas Miami isn't growing as fast but the city has been gentrifying for a few years now.

Damn, Gary IN has less than 80k people and 18 murders after four months. By comparison, Compton only has four. That's crazy.

Gary always had high murder rate it on top 10 every year. Gary is like mini Chicago south side

I thought 27 was high for the first 3 months, but then I realized we're at 4 months so we're on pace for 81 currently. It is higher at this time than 2017, but it started picking up more later last year. Hopefully it slows down some more. February was a pretty bad month with about 3-4 each week.
