Over 50 French surnames + Over 50 Italian surnames + Over 50 Spanish surnames = New Orleans' African American community at one time

Some more of Bostons black diversity.

Then an in charge of “all inclusive Boston marketing campaign is a Black Bermudan (his partner is Jamaican) and has been asked by Bermudas tourism department to help market and rebrand Bermuda.

I posted this in the hip hop in your city thread but here a hip hop song song that’s mostly afrobeats but really works as an exemplary example of the conflux of Senegalese, Cape Verdean, Nigerian and Puerto Rican artists. Song features English, French, and Spanish.

Most black people =/= Most diverse black population lmao.

Cities that are 95% Black African American compared to a city that has a 40% foreign-born black population. Thats like saying Minot ND has a more diverse white population than Brooklyn NY because its 90% white and Brooklyn is only 30% white.

Therefore, the most diverse Black populations are:
-Miami
-Boston
-New York City
-Providence

And it really isn't a contest.

I kinda don't see all African Americans being this one monolithic group.

It's like saying all central Americans are the same. Of all Asians are the same.

Yeah, a mix of foreign blacks would be more diverse but on the other hand I wouldn't say that blacks from Jacksonville and Portland are similar.

I would also have to add some critical mass component
to the picture. There's no way you are going to convince me that Minneapolis has a more diverse black population than Atlanta. Not happening.

It's a fact that Minneapolis has a more diverse black population than Atlanta. It's almost impossible not to see or interact with a foreign born black person in Minneapolis. Minneapolis has a significant Somali, Ethiopian, Liberian, and Kenyan population with a traditional African American population as well. ATL is almost completely African American. The chances of meeting a black person who is not AA is much higher in Minneapolis than ATL.

Exaggerations!!!

It's much harder to find black people across the metro, let alone find one that is foreign born.
Minneapolis is 75% non Hispanic white. It didn't have a diverse anything.
