Charlotte is a hot city, but Nashville is right up there as red hot.

This is impressive. I knew Nashville had more projects going on than Charlotte. Red hot! It looks like Nashville will have even more residential towers as well. Also excited for the Ritz Carlton. These towers will make nice additions to the skyline.

Isn't most new office space construction in Austin and Nashville (and Charlotte too, though to a lesser extent) in the suburbs? What does any of that have to do with this "skyline" thread?
For the record, Charlotte had 5M sqft of office space completed in 2021, vs Nashville's 2.3M, and boasted one of the highest occupancy rates in the country.

Are you referring to after covid? or the years all together up to 2021? Covid skewed the a lot of the occupancy rates.
My point wasn’t Charlotte vs. Nashville. It was Nashville is #3 in that list by percentage. Smaller cities typically grow by faster percentage points than larger cities that often times are adding more.

The source by QC Dreaming says Charlotte is 5 million.
That’s the problem with these lists. What’s the right source? What’s the context?
Is Charlotte or Nashville adding more office space?
There is no accurate figure for this until after the year is over, at which point records for COMPLETED projects within that timeframe can be gauged. Looking at figures at some random time can easily be skewed to benefit one place versus another.
A sort of random Mash-up of proposed and under construction towers in Nashville. Some may not happen, but others not shown will replace them.
