Funny, I thought about asking about those same exact three cities. All three look similar being river cities with hills. If I had to pick, I'd go with Cincinnati.

Is Toronto more similar to NYC or Chicago?

NYC. They're both the largest city and main cultural center of their countries. Which is more like Pine Bluff, Ark; Cape Girardeau MO or Evansville IN?

Hollywood itself, since the same grid from Sunset on down applies, and gentrification continues to push eastward. Sunset Strip and Sunset Boulevard are both known for their classic entertainment venues, and the boutique shopping on Melrose Ave. is found on both sides of the border. Century City is a modern "city within a city" district that's more like the western part of downtown LA or even stretches of mid-Wilshire with its skyscrapers. It's basically LA's equivalent of The Castro and the Mission District for a rough SF comparison.

Since we're comparing districts of large cities:

Is The Near West Side/West Loop of Chicago more like the Near North Side/River North or the Near South Side/South Loop?

Clearly it's more similar to the Near North/River North with the amount of new development outpacing the South and turning it into a very similar neighborhood to the Near North.

Which is more similar to Dallas: Los Angeles or Atlanta?

Atlanta. Dallas feels smaller than Atlanta, but the metro feels significantly larger. By the end of the decade it will likely be closer in size to Los Angeles.

Is Nashville more similar to Birmingham or Louisville?

Louisville for sure. Both are river cities and both have I-65 running through them.

Is Atlanta more similar to Detroit or Minneapolis?
