Greenville because of city size, and not a river town like Knoxville.

Is Bowling Green, KY more similar to Clarksville, TN or Owensboro, KY?

Tupelo for sure. Very southern and not too far from larger metros (Nashville, Huntsville/Louisville, Lexington).

Is Montgomery, AL more similar to Springfield, MO or Fayetteville, NC?

A toughie, but I'll say Montgomery, AL is more similar to Fayetteville, NC.

Montgomery is approximately as far away from Atlanta, GA as Fayetteville is from Charlotte. I'm going on a limb (I shouldn't assume) but that the culture in the Montgomery area is more similar to Fayetteville than Springfield.

Montgomery, AL's MSA population is closer to Springfield, MO's MSA. In a twist, Springfield, MO's MSA (estimated around 462,000) is closer to Fayetteville's (estimated around 527,000) than Montgomery's (estimated around 374,000) though.

Montgomery MSA was tricky to find, but I did see this:

Next: Is Boston, MA more similar to San Francisco, CA or Philadelphia, PA?

After giving it some thought, I think Baltimore is more similar to Denver because both metros are more than 3 times larger than Baton Rouge. Plus both cities have all the major league sport teams.

Is Evansville, Indiana more similar to Springfield, Missouri or Ft. Wayne, Indiana?

Edit - Sorry Shakeesha, I didn't mean to jump over you. I didn't see your post until I posted mine. It takes me a while for me type out a post, even a post that doesn't have very many words in it.

Springfield, MO is more similar due to being in the lower midwest and similar populations. Ft. Wayne has a larger airport and more regional influence than both.

Is Phoenix more similar to Detroit or Minneapolis?

Minneapolis because they have fewer African Americans (Somalians/Somalis do not count)

Is San Antonio more similar to Lubbock or College Station or Waco?
