Houston is Texas' answer to LA, IMO. Freeways everywhere, all full of bumper-to-bumper traffic driving above the speed limit. Palm trees, a multiethnic mosaic (that mixes a little more freely and easily than it does in LA), and beaches (though they're 50 rather than 10 miles from downtown).

Some of this could also describe San Diego, but IMO that city isn't quite as multiculti as Houston and its freeways aren't as full of Mario Andretti wannabes.

Is Kansas City more like Minneapolis or Denver?

Minneapolis. Both are Midwestern cities. Which is more similar to Tempe, AZ; Bellevue, WA or Santa Ana, CA?

Santa Ana. Both share severe weather concerns, higher temps, and lesser economies than Bellevue. Looks like both share high crime and run down areas due to gang activity.

Is Jacksonville, FL more similar to Oklahoma City or San Antonio?

I'd say Oklahoma City because they both have very large city limits. Which is more similar to Wichita KS; Omaha, NB or Des Moines, IA?

I'd say Omaha as Nebraska and Kansas are both Great Plains states. Although aesthetically Des Moines and Omaha are more similar to each other.

Is Denver more similar to Phoenix or Seattle?

Seattle. Arizona may be full of sunshine, but it's not a backpacking-and-kayaking-and-flannel-shirt kind of place, and it seems to me that the Superstition Mountains don't loom as large in Phoenix's cultural consciousness as either the Rockies do Denver's or Mount Rainier does Seattle's.

Is Philadelphia more like New York or Boston?

Phoenix, for sure. Salt Lake City is the metro opposite of Sin City.

Is Indianapolis more similar to San Francisco or Muncie?

I would say Muncie. You can't beat the midwest flavor if Indianapolis.

Is St. Louis more like Omaha or Chicago?
