Id say that was a good pic for providence. Can't of the city is not at all College or Federal Hill. That being said I do recall seeing streetviws of downtown mileaukke that very much reminded me of downtown providence.

I was able to grab these of memory:

Milwaukee appears to have some nicer neighborhoods than Providence itself-just aesthetically, based off of street view. Just a function of being physically much much larger.

Not all of the city looks like College or Fed Hill, but not all of the city looks like the West End / South Providence area where Space League dropped their marker either.

I was just trying to pick average looking neighborhoods, not necessarily the best looking or most desirable neighborhoods but not the worst. The majority of providence really does look like that West End street more or less. I tried to pick a similarly "lightly gentrified" and extremely diverse neighborhood of Milwaukee as a comp

Well college hill I don't know if there is great parallel because there isn't an ivy league school in Milwaukee (Also gave Education and Urbanity to Providence) However there are some reasonable comparisons to those kind of neighbohoods and also types that Providence doesn't have a great comp for:

Lower East Side:

Bayview:

West Town:

I don't know. Even among neighborhoods that have a lot of triple deckers, you picked one without much greenery and with a lot of iron fences out front. I think that area is below average for PVD; I don't know that it's lightly gentrified though maybe an RI poster could correct me.

The first 3 are good comparisons for the ones I posted, I think. Fewer people out and about, but it looks like it just rained so probably just bad timing. Here are some more PVD neighborhood retail stretches:

Fox Point: https://www.google.com/maps/@41.8194...7i16384!8i8192

Hope Street:
https://www.google.com/maps/@41.8477...7i16384!8i8192

The last one definitely strikes me as more of a downtown neighborhood than a non-downtown one. Perhaps the Jewelry District could eventually be a good comp, though it's far from being built out enough to compare.

most of Providence looks pretty rundown... certainly the images you shared are the exception not thenorm. The city is legitimately improverished.

Literally more than half of those are from the same general South Providence area that Space League showed. The one on Pemberton does show an area that's more lush than the others.

How about these:

Milwaukee gets very little representation on c-d, but it’s a lot nicer town than people realize.
Between these two, it’s my choice.

There's some nice areas in Providence but they're certainly the minority. Its a solid city despite its low incomes.
