Ok. Not sure about in Missouri, but in Maryland the County and City are completely separated on all levels. It's exact opposite of, Harris, Duval, Cook, counties etc., where their core cities are a part of that county. So across all metrics here locally you wouldn't see them combined. Baltimore County and City are as separate as DC and Prince George's County really.

Forgive me is this comprehensive or did you just pick certain counties? Your missing several Ohio counties. Also the population numbers are different(not drastically) from other sources I've seen.

Yeah you’re missing Charleston and Richland County SC (which I know is probably at around 200,000). This seems a little random.

Non-Hispanic White
Nashville: 54.8% of total growth between 2010-2020
Indianapolis: 45.0%
Denver: 43.0%
Austin: 39.4%
Columbus, OH: 35.6%

Asian
San Jose: 92.2%
San Francisco: 66.9%
Los Angeles: 62.3%
Detroit: 54.6%
Seattle/Tacoma: 53.3%

Black
Atlanta: 50.9%
Virginia Beach: 40.1%
Birmingham: 30.9%
Minneapolis/St. Paul: 30.6%
Las Vegas: 28.5%

Hispanic
Miami/Fort Lauderdale: 84.5%
Riverside/San Bernardino: 77.8%
Cleveland: 72.9%
Orlando: 70.7%
Tampa: 66.9%

Below were the top 5 most metro areas that had the most balanced growth. To qualify, there must have been growth in all 4 groups and we can look at those that had the highest number of the smallest growth group.

Minneapolis/St. Paul - Hispanic: 21.5% - this was the slowest growing group between 2010-2020
Columbus, OH - Hispanic - 18.8%
Indianapolis - Asian - 14.6%
Phoenix - Asian: 13.6%
Raleigh - Black: 12.5%
California still dominates among Asian growth.

It is still wild to me to see how much larger the black population is in Broward compared to Dade. Wouldn’t see that 20 years ago.

I think it has to do with two things:

1) Broward is seen as the place for Americans in South Florida where is Dade is mainly concentrated around people from Latin America and Haiti.

2) That said, Broward also has the Lions Share of the Jamaicans in South Florida as well as a sizable Haitian population. Dade has solidified itself around Cubans, Venezuelans, Colombians, Haitians, Nicaraguans, and South Americans.

Oh yea I am aware. But for the longest, Black folks no matter if they were American or West Indians preferred Dade. In fact, I bet many of Broward's growth are Black people from Dade.
