This very much surprises me, especially when you look at racial demographics within city limits. I guess the suburbs are what skews the percent white upward.

I was also surprised that Nashville is just as white as Portland is.
Having been to all of those cities I am not. In fairness though my two reference points are Atlanta and NYC which are both very diverse, so whenever I am in a city that skews heavily one way it is always a bit jarring.

One that is perhaps unfairly shown as being much whiter than it is would be Detroit. Arabs/MENA count as "White" even though we certainly dont think of ourselves that way. In reality Detroit is probably 59-61% white as opposed to 68%.
