and maybe New Orleans.
Square and dull? Portland, Austin, Denver, twin cities, Vancouver? When people talk like this it really discredits their opinion. Obviously you have never been to any of these cities or havent a clue what they are like.

Hmm. Seems very clear that for El Mundo, excitement = crime.

Especially when he added New Orleans.

Cities don't have to be bustling metropolises in order to be cool--I hate the list, but I think Savannah is definitely a great destination.

What's really missing from the list are places throughout the rest of North America. There's one count in for Canada (and it's not even Montreal which is an amazing and unique place), and nothing for Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central America (though I wouldn't rank any city in the Central America particularly high).

Not a bad list, but Vancouver and Montreal are in Canada (though they're close to the US border) and Cancun is on the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico haha.

I subscribe to that list (maybe with a few changes), but the MSN list that started this thread said North America so Mexican and Canadian cities are fair game. I'd dump Las Vegas and add Mexico City and I'd dump Cancun and add Quebec City (maybe not at the same number on the list). Other than that I'd say it's fair.

You know what's cool about cool? Cool is ephemeral. As soon as cool is defined, it's no longer cool. And anything defined as cool by Bill Gates' company is furthest from cool. So, since MSN has called these cities the coolest cities to go to, they are now the lamest cities to go to.

I'm sure you wouldn't be saying that if Houston wasn't on the list....
