Would you want everyday to be the same when you walk outside?

If it is comfortable weather, why not? And come on now, we are talking about Los Angeles, there is variation in weather, this is not Honolulu we are talking about.

Thought I might add this from another thread.

More native California plants show the changes of seasons differently - there are flowers which bloom in the fall, others that bloom in the winter, spring, or summer. The landscape is constantly changing. The winter rains bring intensely green hillsides, which are very pleasant to view.

So there are seasons, but they do NOT look the same as back east. I actually like the California seasons better than those of the east coast - others' opinions may vary.
Also it is nice in the winter to see GREEN, rather than dead dormant plants in the winter. It is really nice to go outside to the backyard in a gentle rain shower (or when it stops raining ) to pick some oranges off the tree in January.

Yes, it was nice to bike without having to wear a sweatshirt or jacket.

Sticking with NY. love the change in seasons and the variety of weather, like the beautiful fog(not smog) that rises over the city in day light, sometimes it snows while its bright and sunny outside with a mix of mist and fog. Whats interesting lately is the freakish rain weve been getting. The thunder seems to be getting more violent. One night it was so strong alot of car alarms starting going off. Then you have those sunny days that seem normal and wind speeds pick up at a fast pace. Something different almost every time.
NY has a smog issue also.

It would still seem pretty good enough for me. Now those northern winters next to an ocean or a giant lake, THATS miserable weather.

Exactly. The plants are still alive. So you still get the color change but not the EXTREME winters.
