Boston is #1, no question...We have 6 World Championships in 9 years. I'd push us to number one, and then everyone else slides down a spot. I don't see how you can make a case for any other city to be considered the #1 sports city at the moment.

I should have boston at 2 instead of chicago. I am not basing my list on primarily the present but the past and stuff like amount of teams and fan support/attendance.
We? So you play for the Pats, Sox, Bruins AND the Celtics? Dude, that's AMAZING! Can you please autograph my baseball, football, hockey puck and basketball?
only one main thing that I see wrong with your list
you picked charlotte over nyc?
charlotte
MLB - ?
NBA - Bobcats (new franchise)
NHL - ?
NFL - Panthers (new franchise in the mid 90's)
compared to
NYC
MLB - Yankees, Mets
NBA - Nets, Knicks
NHL - Devils, Islanders, Rangers
NFL - Giants, Jets
So that is nine pro teams for nyc compared to charlottes two
not to mention that lots of panther games seem to have a large amount of fans there for the visiting team.
