I agree with those of you who said California.

Because we can keep all of our money and instead of being the state that pays the federal government the most money out of all the states, we can keep the monies our local economies generate and work ourselves out of debt instead of giving our money to states whose residents who have nothing good to say about California and it's people.

Oh yeah, and we'd cripple the U.S. in it's standing competitiveness with the rest of the world if we left. The U.S. would certainly falter and would be hard pressed to get back to where it was in our lifetimes, if ever again. America's biggest port? Gone. Silicon Valley? Gone. Hollywood? Gone. The countries biggest agriculture producing state? Gone. Advantage on the Pacific Ocean/Mediterranean climate? Gone. Federal laws prohibiting the sale and tax of marijuana? Gone, and we can legalize it and tax it and make billions from the revenue.

So go ahead, let us go. We can just use all of the gangbangers we have in prison for a military, anyway.

Assuming the country doesn't get into such a socialist state that states volunteer to leave ---

I'm thinking we're going to have to sell a couple of states to China to pay back our debt. We could probably get a lot for California because of it's coastline, plus we'd be losing a state that costs us a lot, too. And then there is the Hollywood actor and San Francisco factor that make it seem like they're not part of the US, anyway, by choice plus pre-existing Chinese American spots within the state that might appeal to the Chinese. They could build a Great Wall between California and Mexico, too.

I'm thinking Hawaii might appeal to the Chinese geographically speaking and might bring a good price.

Those are my two picks. I'm going with states we could sell.

^sorry to cause such a firestorm!

Anyways, my comment was poorly planned, and yes, I completely forgot LBJ (again, my bad, he is one of my favorite presidents). I am just getting really sick of contunially being screwed by W and his policies, and I vented my anger here in an irrational way.

However, I still stand 100% by the Alaska comments, and I would still kick Texas out.... so yeah. Sorry in advance.

You didn't like the Dubs, yet your state was the deciding vote in 2004. I suppose if Ohio didn't have voting rights in 2004, Kerry would have won. By your very own logic, considering how badly you were 'screwed by W and his policies," we should be kicking Ohio out. They're solely responsible for the last four years of Bush's reign, right?
