Weak? You are trying to compare numbers of a stable place like Philadelphia to cities in Florida that have gone through a massive housing bust and enormous job losses only second to California. I did not lose this debate, Florida did because of its poor planning and relience on out of state money. Now that the out of state money has dried up Florida is falling apart. If you are trying to hide the fact that Florida is in a state of crisis then you are not being honest.
Anyone with a brain can look at our argument and tell you lost. You say no one wants to live in Florida, yet Florida's populations has been booming for the last 100 years. It is only up until recently that people are being forced to move out becasue of High unemployment and rising insurance rates. I am not denying that Florida has some major issues. But you claim no one wants to live here and the majority of Floridians are miserable. If it wern't for the bad economy, Florida would still be growing. Why do you think there was a huge housing boom here in the first place?
The housing boom was created by speculators looking to make a quick profit and easy lending. As soon as the boom ended they all left.
And the housing market crashed because lenders were giving loans to people who could not afford it, not because no one wanted to move here. And then those people had to pick up and move back to where they came from, leaving thousands of homes in foreclosture. That is why Florida and California were hit the hardest by this economy
I always wanted to go to the Holy Land Experience in Orlando. I think next year I should take my kids there. Disney land is full of sin.
