If only I could find a decent Chicago Style here in Atlanta. Hope springs eternal.

Whenever I get back to Chicago, one of the first things I plan to do is to go to Hot Doug's to get a Chicago Dog and some Duck Fat Fries. *drools*
We actually have a good place on the Decatur/Avondale line called Skip's. He uses Vienna beef and is from Chicago. Check them out sometime!

Skip's Hotdogs and Catering (http://www.skipshotdogs.com/menuitems.html - broken link)

We also have Nathan's and Sabretts now, but there is NO comparison imo.

I am going to go here and put them all to the test...

http://www.americasdog.com/

Actually I have done this before...most of them...

Out of those I've actually always been fond of a plain chili dog (go houston).

I've never been to Chicago but I did buy a hot dog from a stand in NYC once. I took one bite and the bite as well as the rest of the hot dog went straight into the trash. It was like I could taste the rat hair and hog snouts, yuk. I will not eat hot dogs from vendors anymore anywhere. Give me a Hebrew National grilled at home with the fixings that I like or I am not eating it.
What is a sport pepper ? This thread is the first place I've ever heard of a sport pepper !

Today I went to 35th St. Red Hots today in Bridgeport, at 35th and Normal just west of Comiskey Park. Natural casing Vienna dog and fresh cut fries.

As you can see nobody holds a gun to your head and makes you load it with stuff, I got mustard and relish.
