No, it's not only about the size. It's about the dynamic and cohesiveness of the core. Dallas wins here. The core of Dallas is much more legit than Center City of Philly.
Come on man. I love Dallas a lot. But center city is far better and more urban than anything in Dallas. Dallas is developing. But it's not there yet. Nobody from Dallas would say what you're saying.

He's a troll bent on a mission to put down Philly at every possible opportunity, even (quite frankly, especially) when it makes absolutely no sense.
Philly would edge out Dallas, because it's simply built up. Dallas on the other hand has begun infilling, within the last 7yrs or more. Now if you compare Dallas back in 2005 you can see the drastic change it has made.
Much of Philadelphia's importance is historical. I'd say Dallas triumphs Philadelphia in terms of present-day importance.
Dallas triumphs modern day Philadelphia? No, not even close.

Well Philadelphia is filling in as well... so that's kind of a moot point. Philadelphia is lightyears ahead of Dallas in density and only getting denser.

Philly gets trounced by Dallas and Boston. It's not the most international or best city in the U.S.. Let's face: Philly is a working class city that offers amenities to local regionl
Philadelphia is a city that's full of history. It's a regional city that people through the middle Atlantic states visit. It's a working class city. Downtown is growing and making improvements. It's decent city that has crime issues, smog issues and slowing improving economy. to say it that this is on par with NY, Boston, Washington, Chi, SF, Dallas, Miami and LA is plain wrong. It doesn't mean it's a poor city. It's a city that locals should be happy and take pride in their neighborhoods and stop fantasizing, also, stop being negative of their city.
