Well for somebody who has such a low opinion of the Midwest, why on earth would you want to go to college there in the first place?

Apparently everyone on C-D is fabulously wealthy, has attended an ivy league institution, travels around the globe on private jets, dines at the finest restaurants, and still manages to spend a good deal of their time talking **** on internet forums like this one.

Well considering you only joined the forum a little over a month ago, you're averaging 3 posts a day. Same as me.

So what, I don't even go to UW-Milwaukee anymore? You kept trying to talk trash about UW-Madison, even though it's ranked as a top tier public university along with the likes of UC-Berkeley, UCLA, UMich, and UVA.

Have fun... wherever you are. Why isn't your location listed?

Twista & Mobstability
EC Illa
Kanye West
Common
Vakill
Makin Illanoize
Assault AKA Baby Swolts
Qualo
C.O.G.
Crucial Conflict
Freddie Gibbs (Gary)

... that's about it. 90% of Midwest rappers come from KC anyway.

Oakland by itself probably put out more rap in the 90's than the entire Midwest has put out rap.

Richie Rich
415
Luniz
Dru Down
Shock G
Ant Banks
Rappin Ron & Ant Diddley Dog
Seagram
Goldy
Hieroglyphics
Hobo Junction
The Whoridas
3XKrazy (Keak's group)
MC Pooh
The BUMS
EA Ski
Baby Ray
Mac Vo
Freddie B

And the list keeps going.

And lol at Too $hort being a cornball. He's the reason why the rest of yall try to pimp on wax... cornball indeed. rofl
All that shows me right there is that Oakland, a much smaller city than Chicago, pumps out more thugs. Speaks volumes about Oakland.

There's quite a few rappers from Chicago you forgot:

Da Brat
Diverse
Do or Die
Earatik Statik
GLC
Kid Sister
Kidz in the Hall
The Legendary Traxster
Lupe Fiasco
Marz
MC Juice
Mr. Lee
No I.D.
Qwel
Rhymefest
R. Kelly
Shawnna
Snypaz
Speedknot Mobstaz
Yung Berg
Young Blaze

Aside from Tech N9ne and Mac Lethal, who else is from KC?

But nobody's heard of most of those people with the exception of rappers like E-40, B-Legit, Too $hort, Mistah FAB, and Rappin' 4-Tay.

There is a huge and very well known bias for the East half of the U.S. when it comes to sports and ESPN just fuels it. Anyways here is something that is not disputable, although I know some Chicago folks will attempt to discredit this, but the Giant's Dodgers Rivalry is the 2nd best/most storied/important (whatever you want to call it) in baseball after the Yankees/Red Sox and ahead of the Cubs/Cards.
That's a little facetious don't you think? The Dodgers/Giants rivalry exists from the days of the Brooklyn Dodgers and NY Giants. LA and SF had nothing to do with it.

After much thought I voted Bay Area due to weather. But to the OP, is weather a factor for you? I don't know if someone brought this up, but the job field you're looking for should also factor in. But it was hard for me to turn down the U of Chicago and the Moody Bible Institute.

Oh, I didn't realize your eyes worked as poorly as your brain does when processing info. Here allow me to assist:

E-40, Mac Dre and Too Short will be in there if we're talking most prolific and well known (meaning people you likely would have heard of before). But 2pac, Keishia Cole, En Vogue, MC Hammer, Digital Underground, Spice 1, Tony Tone Toni/Rafael Saadiq, and Rappin 4-Tay right off the top will rank higher than The Luniz or Keak. Keak really has no business on that list (no offense - I know you were just taking a stab at it. )

If we're talking who's the best, then I would list Andre Nickatina, Equipto, San Quinn, RBL, Saafir, Totally Insane, Cougnut, Messy Marv, UDI, 11/5...really way too many to list that you've likely never heard of before, but most people would likely rank many of them higher than some of those you'd listed. This of course is subjective, but Keak and The Luniz really aren't deserving of that much credit in comparison to many others.
I see you still can't seem to resist Bay Area-related threads. You seem to have developed quite the addiction. Good luck with that!

I wonder though, is this just a passing fad and will you be moving on to another city to stalk and bash in here, or does SF tug at your soul and remains unique in this respect?

Read it in a rap history book... forget the title of it. It's not surprising either... The bay area has the most disposible $$$$$ to spend on entertainment. Grassroots and Independent movements get a lot of support over here... more support than in most places. The bay is also the largest supporter of the south outside of the south... OutKast sold 6 million records off of the bay alone.
