It would be nice if Best Buy would build a store in Goldsboro. Goldsboro hasn't had a good electronics store since the Rex electronics & appliance store on Berkekely Boulevard closed well over 10 years ago.

Where was Rex at? I'm having a hard time remembering. Was it near Loews?

Yes, it was beside Lowes. I went there with my dad a few times in the late 90's-early 00's when I was a kid. I don't remember the exact year Rex closed, though. The Rex building was torn down and AutoZone was built in it's place. It's address was the same as AutoZone's. 1200 North Berkeley Boulevard.

Does anybody know when and/or why the Pet Village & Ceramic Shop moved from their old location on Center Street to Berkeley Boulevard? Seems like an odd decision since their new location is practically out of sight, partly due to the railroad and parking lot layout and it isn't as easy to get to, whereas their old location on Center Street was easy to get to and was easily visible. When I used to go to their Center Street store, they did good business and had the best selection of fish of anybody in town, even though it wasn't exactly the cleanest store.
What gives with moving to a different building that's practically out of sight?
