Vailhouse Oyster Bar & Grille is planning to open in early March at Cobblestone Place on Spence Avenue. It’s going where Sumo Japanese Steak and Sushi used to be. The owner is Tom Vail, who also owns P.T.’s Grille on Wayne Memorial Drive and the Pizza Inn in Pikeville.

The state has approved funding for upgrades at 6 airports, one of which is Wayne Executive Jetport.

A new 2-lane road in Mount Olive connecting NC-55 to East Talton Avenue is being built at the request of the pickle company to help keep truck traffic from town streets. Completion is set for June.

I don’t know why the city doesn’t cut it’s losses and close the golf course. Lane Tree isn’t that far of a drive from downtown and most go there anyway...

Hopefully business will pick up at the golf course now that the base has closed theirs. Wouldn't be good if there was only 1 course around here.

NCDOT is holding a public meeting on February 26 at the Maxwell Center to discuss widening US-13 (N. Berkeley Boulevard) to a 4-lane median-divided road between New Hope Road and Saulston Road.
