I am looking at a property in FFH. I have 3 young children and am looking for a neighborhood I can raise my family in that is quite and maintained. Can anyone please give opinions on raising a family on FFH? I have driven through many times and it looks amazing.

There are very few children in FFH and many elderly people. I would not recommend FFH if your children want lots of playmates.

I'd suggest looking at other communities such as Taberna and Carolina Colours. They are closer to schools, but I can't guarantee they will have lots of kids living there. Please do some more drive-throughs.

Some of the younger residents of Fairfield Harbour started a Facebook page so they could meet other younger couples with children here. You don't see many kids around but they are here.School bus comes and picks kid's up for school near the main entrance and one stops at my corner .

When we were researching places to buy a second home (and we did buy in FFH), we met a couple families in FFH with younger kids, one group who were out bicycling as a family on the cart trails. They said they really enjoyed the community. I for one, would welcome having more neighbors with young children, I think the location would be a great place to grow up (if I was a kid that is), but having a lot of playmates would also help.

The waterfront restaurant renamed "Sunrise to Sunset", is open for business. Give it a try.

Wow, that is good news. The name is apropos.
My wife and I are driving down next week for a few days and will be arriving there on Wednesday. My parents will be diving up fro Ocala to spend a couple of days with us. Perhaps we can do a get together for a couple of drinks while we are down.
