That place looks like a stripped down Bojangles. Surprised they would open a chicken spot with Zaxby's and Zesto's right around there. I'd imagine I could get better tenders at Zaxby's and am fairly certrain I could get better bone in chicken at Zesto's.
Buffalo Wild Wing has broken ground on Broad St next to the new Springhill Suites.
Moe's and a Smash Burger are going to open on the corner of Broad and Wesmark.
I have on good authority from a friend who is a VP at a local bank that Publix has bought the corner lot of Wise and Alice where John Brabham real estate and the former batting cages/restaurant are located.
On the same authority, WalMart is going to open up a neighborhood market on Bultman on the lot that the school district planned to build a new office.
The downtown hotel is moving forward. There is one more building to be demolished in order to fit it. The hotel will be full service and have meeting and ballroom space as well as a full service restaurant and banquet facility. Possibly a Marriott or Hilton.
There is activity on the corner lot on Liberty and Wedgefield Rd. The lot borders the Elks lodge and is across the street from Capt. D's. About 30 loads of fill dirt were brought in to level off the lot and get it ready for construction. No word yet on what it will be.
