Hijackthis is not a tool the novice should use without supervision, they won't understand what they're seeing.
I agree, but there is an option to save the log and send it to the experts that can analyze it. I did it in the beginning till I got more familiar with it.
elnina...I just read about hijackthis on cnet and you're right about sending the logs to an expert, right now I am not having any obvious issues, I've been to the malwarebytes community and there are very detailed steps to ensure your computer is completely cleaned, but I think I'll just re-install my OS if I experience any residual effects. All scans and anti-malware software I ran removed and/or quarantined the trojan/virus...thanks for the advise...
