I would surmise that it would be in the places on the map with the low dewpoint readings.....

I gather that but who was below 50..? It was 69 in the Danbury area this morning. I doubt anywhere in the state was below 50...HIGHLY doubt I should say.

I was wondering the weather channel was saying Leslie could be coming closer to the east coast. Do you think it will be a huge threat to the us here in CT?

Using the same time as the previous post with dew points. I see a mix of 40s, 50s and local 60s also. Look at Washingon State. Dew points 38 and 48 where the temp was 60 degrees.

There's no denying CT is feeling the brunt of the warm Atlantic and the sky high dew points compared to other areas of the country even coasal areas of the West.

I think the steady rise in dewpoints is the unheralded consequence of this climate change. Oceans get warmer, raising the dewpoint of the air above it, which then flows onshore. The higher dewpoints lead to discomfort, and most significantly higher minimum temps since the air temp cannot fall below the dewpoint at night.

This is the primary reason the West Coast is so comfortable, humidity-wise...the Pacific Ocean off northern California even in the summer runs 55 - 59 degrees.

Really? I didn't get a text alert and I haven't found anything online regarding a warning. So I turned on the weather channel, and nothing there, either. Who is in the path of destruction?
