The reason why young people are leaving is because they are tired of the ******* anti everything circus. Anti gun, anti America, anti business, pro welfare which does nothing to empower people to eventually be able to make it on their own.

Not to mention the state is too close to New York City, I mean how many phony kisses on the cheek and fake handshakes can one tolerate? Who wants to pay 3500 a month for a whole in the wall just to over glamorize a transplanted hipster Manhattan which by the way resembles nothing of the what the real New York was.

Connecticut simply stinks and the only thing it has to look up to is New York, which stinks more.

There, a post for today...lol

My post wasn't serious, I actually like the northeast.

On a serious note, young people leave cause they want to explore, I did it when I was 20 something.

My post was supposed to be sarcasm, humorous, cause they are some folks that are not happy with Connecticut.

Yes I understand. I have traveled a LOT during my 20's and still do in my 30's now. The thing with traveling, is that after I see one place that's better than a previous place that I saw, it makes me want to move to the newly discovered place instead of the places that previously appealed to me. For example, about 5 years ago, I really wanted to move to North Carolina. But now that I've traveled the country more extensively, I am not interested in moving there at all. Traveling is VERY important and helpful in mitigating potentially bad moves that you may regret. You need to visit a place first before deciding to move there, if the motive for moving is out of pure desire. I understand there are times when people need to move somewhere sight unseen, for career, family or health reasons, however. But now that I have discovered the western U.S., I would never consider moving to the South, except maybe a few trite spots.

Visiting/vacationing is not the same as living somewhere. Far from it. That's something you learn over time.

I've been out west to Washington State, and it was pretty.

The northeast however is home to me, I'm grateful that I was able to go see other places when I was younger. Being in the service and getting to live in Germany was amazing, who really ever gets to do that?

I can't leave the northeast, not as permanent move. All my fiends and most of my family are here on the east.

Now traveling and visiting new places I'm all for, but my home base will always be the east coast.
