Thermometer on the house says 20 degrees, tendency sinking. Probably a degree or two colder away from the building.

Need to put the snowblower on the tractor today and stock up on wood!

Season low here 20.6° and still could drop a little more. Wow! Inside a toasty 68° and the furnace still hasn't been needed.

Current temps (6amEST)... Majority of U.S at or below freezing. Purple = 20° or colder. White = Sub Zero.

Cold morning down south. These aren't the actual lows. Could go a bit lower in spots.

I see temps in the teens in CT this morning... Even in Fairfield County. Nothing unusual. December 2014 we got into the teens as well.

3 office forecasts for Danbury:

TWS up to one inch

Accuweather 2-4 inches

NWS 3-5 inches

Still not in agreement on track it looks like NWS has storm further south..TWS furthest north.

Problem with getting 1-2" is it's not enough to keep people home, so everyone will be out and crash.. lol

Still going with what I said days ago and my gut.

1-4" then change to rain Monday morning. Have to keep a big range due to terrain in our state. 4" obviously higher or north more or local spots.

Tricky for Monday commute as far as timing of the change. I think will be rain and fine by 8am all over state? What sucks is... people might wake up to rain and so never really see what the snow total was overnight. Ugh.

So get up at 2am and measure guys! lol

Trying to get some things done today so I can track all day tomorrow.

Loop last 4 hrs.. NYC was getting some Lake Erie Effect snow flurries. Weakens so much by time it gets down this way.

There's our storm that just crossed Iowa,(Iowa Snow pics) about to give Chicago 6-10" of snow tonight and tomorrow. They are under a warning.

My gut says this is long rain by Monday morning. All offices just keep going warmer. Still, 1-3 seems to be the consensus

Went to a dinner party in Larchmont, NY. Couldn't wait to get back home for one reason.

I drove through a snow squall! It was very cool because I'm driving down the Merritt and there was nothing. Instead of taking the Hutch I decided to take I287 across to I-95.

Well, on I-287 it was snowing. It didn't last long (120 seconds?) and was clear skies facing south and on I-95. So I knew it was a localized cloud.

Sure enough... See it?

A loop.. It's from Lake Erie.. My sister has 18" of snow on ground from Lake effect. All we get is snow showers from it. lol

Status quo on my thinking. 1-4" statewide. Sure there will be a few spots with 4-6". I don't think will be widespread 4-6" though anywhere. Lets see how I do.

Current snowfall forecast. Obviously no big deal for us Nutmeggers. lol But heads up for slick backroads Monday morning especially north of I-84

Or if you're travelling to MA or north.
