Snow is in air. Freezing temps too. Just started the stove.

Check out the 6-12" new snowfall reports from Western Virginia.
Wow looks like from that map the Philly area and some parts of NJ will get some snow! Was that predicted or came out of the blue?

Area Forecast Discussion...
National Weather Service Mount Holly NJ
949 AM EDT Sun Mar 25 2018

The last few runs of the hi-res rapid-refresh models (HRRR and
RAP) as well as the 06Z NAM Nest have been capturing the higher
reflectivities that are currently seen on our radar over Berks,
Chester, western Montgomery, upper Bucks and Lehigh Counties in
eastern PA. Isolated spots within the aformentioned area could
receive 1-2" of snow. The probabilistic snowfall products (e.g.,
90th percentile map) have been updated to account for this
locally higher accumulation potential. Since amounts will be
below winter headline criteria and localized, a Special Weather
Statement will cover this short-fused hazard. The threat will
end between 11 AM - 12 PM as temperatures rise above freezing
and the snow shifts south/west of the area.

Had to make some updates to the forecast this morning as the
upper system moving through the region is a bit more vigorous
than previously thought. There appears to be a mid- level
rotation center moving SW through central PA, with enhanced UVV
on its eastern side
. The area affected is mainly southeast PA,
where light snow is being reported. Snow amounts up to 0.5 inch
have been added to the forecast. This area of snow should move
away to the SW by early afternoon
Check out West Virgina last night.

30s at 1pm here. I wanna do some outside work! Just crazy how consistent this is. Nothing extreme but has become the norm recently. I remember when seeing snow piles in March was exciting and rare...now it feels normal.

Check out Raleigh and Richmond this month.

Saw some flurries driving home a little after 1pm from my 2nd job (the one in Westchester, not CT). I wonder (and kind of hope) if it's the last snow I will see fall until November or December.....

Don't get hopes up. It will warm up but only couple days then back down again.

6pm temps. Feels like its just normal. but 30s this time of day is not. And it's 40s down to North Carolina! Brrrr.

Ocean Effect snow at the end of March. Crazy.

Here's why. Airmass at 5000' is frigid over us, its consistently been.. -8C (18°F) this afternoon. -11C over the ocean (12°F). That's creating instability with the water temps in the 30s/40s creating the snow showers.

Yeah, playing the GFS, Canadian, and NAM looks like a little piece ejects off the front before the actual front comes through. Don't think it will rain all day though. So 60s can happen if theres some sun.

Looks like the actual front comes through Friday.

Normal lows are now in the 30s and we're still dropping to 20s. Just loaded the stove again and I'll have to clean it again later.

Here is Danbury's temp data this month..

Yesterdays Max temps.. Like late November
